I was just thinking...

I really love coming to the DS. I think my post count says it all (although I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed, LOL!). I'm a bit of a DS addict, I don't want to miss anything, but the main reason to keep coming back is the amazing atmosphere. Friendly, respectful, welcoming, heartwarming, helpful, and incredibly silly and funny at times are a few words that come to mind to describe these forums. What is it about this place that makes everybody feel at home here? I really want to thank Greyhaunt for this. I am SO happy I found the DS about a year and a half ago. My doll collection evolved and I learned a lot while being insprired by dolliehs and dollieh owners of all sorts, but most of all it's a wonderful place to come to when there's anything to share. We're what a forum is supposed to be. A REAL community.

And that's why the Dollieh Sanctuary is also a Dollieh Owner Sanctuary

I'm with Evelien in wanting to thank all of the members of the wonderful community that make up Dollieh Sanctuary. I check the board every day to see what people are up to: The projects they're working on, the photostories they've put up, etc. I feel very at home here and am very thankful for the friends and connections I've made ^.^

Thank you Evelien, but really it is everyone here who makes this place what it is. All I do is make sure that when nasty little trolls show up they are shown the door as quickly and painlessly (for the forum) as possible But truly, if all of you didn't come here and post and share then we wouldn't have the community that we do.

So in exchange, I thank ALL of YOU for being members!

I find this place to be less scary and more accepting of a wider range of dolls. I don't have to segregate my dolls just to post pics and this place is practically their default playground

While only recently getting my first dollieh, and still more of a lurker than anything else, I'm very happy to have found this place. It is awesome and so is everyone who comes here!

I think its because we are more accepting of a great variety of dolls, talents, and even lifestyles. We have gay to straight members, atheist to religious members, teens to grumpy old codgers, guys and gals, etc ... and we get along and respect each other. New members are welcome in with open arms and when the wayward troll pops up, we all rally 'round the wagon and stand strong together. When someone is going through a difficult time, we jump at the opportunity to show them we care and support them however we can. When someone has something wonderful happen, we all enjoy their happiness.

And I do think it's due in part to GreyHaunt and our great monitors. They set the tone and expectations, and people who are like-minded are attracted to the forum and feel comfortable here.
