Mark II

thread about Mark I here.

I like the print.
I like the fit.
I like having converted it to a halter top.
I like the drape as part of the trunks instead of a separate wrap.

My attempt at a center back zipper did not really work (Amelia's bottom is too curvy and the straight portion of the center back seam is too short to give enough room to get the bottoms on easily), so the next version will have a size seam zipper. Getting it over her hips is a stitch-popping struggle.

It is an indigo dye batik, so the suit is lined in white rayon, even the straps are backed in white.

Hm. Good point. In Sears' catalogs from the 1940s these were often called "play suits" even for grown women. Sometimes things that looked like this were also called swimsuits.

Two piece summer outfit?
