Cherry's New Travel Room (Image Heavy)

So, after we got our wireless gateway, I saw how much the box it came in resembled a vintage Barbie Dream House in the handle and fold-up department; I then resolved to turn it into a little studio apartment for Cherry, complete with compact furniture. I sought out tips from My Froggy Stuff's channel on YouTube, and also drew on lots of inspiration from my previous experiences making doll furniture. Armed with popsicle sticks, whitewash acrylic paint, sponges, glue, cheap contact paper, stickers, scissors, stuffing, recycled fabric and a lot of work (to say nothing of sore fingers), I set to work. It's been almost a month, but the project is more or less complete. So I decided to let Cherry show off her new digs. Enjoy!

A pic of Ri-ri cuddling her new toy. I swear, this girl has more stuffed animals than I do. She certainly has a much more extensive wardrobe. XD

That is so cool!! How did you make the futon? Hazel used to have one, but it was borrowed and I want to make another one. I love the TV too - nice work on all of it!!

Thanks everyone for all the comments! I want to take better pictures later on (better lighting would help).

I got the idea for the futon from a picture of a Barbie futon with a similar design. The frame is made out of popsicle sticks and is perfect for a 1:6 scale doll. I will try to do a tutorial (with Cherry and Johnny's help) since I have the next couple of days off (yey). For larger dolls, there's another style of convertible chair/bed that can be made up for any size doll which doesn't require a frame at all. I'll try to show that too at some point.
