My first felt doll

Being that my nieces don't really need anything, and we ourselves are kinda broke, I decided to take on the venture of making them their toys. My 5 year old niece will be getting a handmade bedroom doll set, while my 2 year old niece will get a handmade felt doll. Here's where I am on the doll so far:

Following the tutorial on My Froggy Stuff youtube channel for the Hoodude doll, I made a female version. The mouth has to be resewn and eyebrows need to be placed. One leg is slightly longer than the other despite my fixing it the first time. *BIG SIGH* Since I'm on a schedule to get this out before Christmas, it'll have to do. Next step is making clothes. She's sitting on the bed that I'm still working on, but finished it's mattress today.

Looking good so far, and believe me a handmade doll is better with a few "variations". And I think these are much better presents than anything you could buy!!

Finally finished up the felt doll yesterday...



Her clothes are made of felt and the shoes just slip on. Thankfully, the felt just sticks to itself so I didn't see the need for snaps to secure the shoes.

Finally, a project I can say is done! lol This was actually a lot of fun to make, if not time consuming and a little frustrating. I'll probably be making another soon. Say hello to Little Miss Felt. At least that's what I call her; I'm leaving the actual name up to my niece.

My next one is going to be a Santa for my mom- as she collects santa's lol- but my busted hand halted me even starting it :c Hopefully when I can start it it can be like...another kind of present. lol
