Ready for School?

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

Ready for School?

So. After making a blythe dress...I decided to alter it. So now I have on my hands, what could be a potential japanese school girl outfit. Here is my prototype outfit :3

The only thing i didn't like. Was to properly have the backflap-whatever-its-called-sailorpart to look nice, the whole outfit needs to have a liner. So. That being said. This is lined. and the white fabric was the worse choice I could have used. So much Fraying.

i just need a better fabric for the white. And to make the skirt longer so the pleats come out nicer

A good answer to the fraying is to fray-check the edges before cutting out. An alternative to lining in the same fabric is to use silk organza or even fine bridal netting. I think the pleats look ok, and you're doing great!

Thanks for the tip :3 it wasn't fraying until halfway into the project.

When I made my schoolgirl uniform for Josephine I went to a Goodwill on their 99cent tag day and found a man's dress shirt for that price! Cost way less than the fabric would have at the fabric store and I have more than enough to screw up with LOL

Almost perfected now! And in the right colors and body :3
Got better fabric :3 Only made a minor mistake but its not noticeable. Could have made the pleats smaller but my fingers appreciated that.
