Weird sizes of large SD+ dolls?

Hi

...Sooo I'm on the hunt for 2 quite specific body sizes here... both male (and hopefully much less expensive than a Soom!)

1) Taller than Soom mecha-angel, but no way near as huge as AoD 1/2 scale...

2) around 65cm, maybe slightly taller/shorter - can make a good hybrid with a Soom SG head...

For 1) IOS? Except they've got pretty specific release dates/their website is confusing as hell...

For 2) maybe DZ65cm? But again, really don't like that sculpt/I've heard bad things about it pose-wise.
Basically this one needs to look short next to my DZ 72cm boy, so possibly of a height with my DZ 65cm girl.
Maybe IslandDoll 65cm? What are their skin tones like/body?

yeah... both awkward as hell... and probably wont happen for months but hey I figured it doesn't hurt to try to get an idea of what I'm actually looking for

I know that LUTS and Angell Studio have a lot of varying sizes. I know for certain they have dolls that are 60+ cm, I'm just not sure if they have the exact size you're looking for.

Thanks! I've been looking through the equivalent of the misc. draw on DoA - it's like an encyclopedia without an index over there!

A couple of contenders for SG head + body hybrids:
Popodoll 68cm - a bit too tall but maybe, excellent proportions!
Impldoll 65cm - right height/price, but not liking the look of the joints there
Dollzone 65cm - right height/price - not sure about narrow shoulders, can't find any photos for this combo
Dream Realm - not sure confusing website
Doll Factory 65cm - right height - don't like the style so much/no photos!

No progress yet on the giant doll of doom though

Don't forget Dollzone and Dollmore. And there are a couple of specific large boys in the sale section here! There are lots of boys in this size around - I would go to http://www.mintoncardinc.com/dolls/index.php because they have a large selection of other less prominent companies. Angel Studio makes very pretty boys. Doll Leaves, who made the infamous Ivan belonging to Trethowan. Check out the various sculpts and dolls there!

Thanks! Yeah I'm leaning towards the DZ 65cm body I think for this hybrid - unlike most of the people on the giant thread on DOA I don't mind too much about resin matching since it's pretty near impossible...

Edit: Yeah thinking about it - I think the DZ 65cm would be the most appropriate for this hybrid; my Drax is a hybrid of a head that's supposed to go onto a SG body + a DZ... So a SG head and 65DZ would be a good match stylisticly

IOS has some weird website with night time cabins and crazy junk, then there's the dollios.com. That site is better organized.

They're releasing an 80cm doll at the first of the year. Keiji which is a collaboration with some online manga/comic/something.

They release a doll, take orders up to 30/40 dolls, then produce and mail them out. They seem to create and release on an odd schedule and from what I gather on the DoA thread they create a quarterly business plan and then try to stick with that.

Ivan is actually the 72cm Dragondoll Uncle (1st generation body). But Doll Leaves are really awesome (better actually, their joints work better). Micah's new body is the 62cm Doll Leaves 1/3 boy. If you want pictures I can post some. Vargas got the Xavor head and Micah's old AoD body.

Pictures: Hmm that could be really useful! Thanks! (Just need to work out how to get a sense of scale for Drax with something obvious ...fail there I know; I've never actually measured how tall he really is!)

I think despite the difficulties in working out their ordering system the IOS 80cm is pretty much perfect for what I'm after:

-Basically trying to go for a Thor/Loki-like size difference between the two characters and I think the Mecha-angel body contrasts nicely. Actually think of it as inverse Thor; the skinny intellectual is the good guy!

And they'll both happily tower over the rest of the gang as though they're built for another world (Despite the fact that Drax is kinda huge...)

...Just need to finish the layaway for Jerome (yeah... just) and start saving for super-huge dude and DZ65cm...
On the one hand - hooray concrete plan dictated by the characters! On the other ...soooooo muuuuuuccchhh moooooonnnneeeyyyy.... This may take a very long while

sounds awesome indeed. after the holidays I'll take some size comparisons pics. I'm thinking of getting the ios 80 vampire due in March or so.
