They are probably painted with a mask for the production dolls. This one is probably a prototype and may have been hastily painted to look like they plan the dolls face to be. Most commercial doll companies like Tonner need to photograph the product before it is actually produced because of the lead time in making the packaging and advertising. So the real doll might not have those brush strokes. I think it would be interesting to see what some of the awesome faceup artists out there could do with her.

I was wondering about that too. I really like her, but those eyes!

The owner pictures are slowly coming in. It looks like the think eye paint and mismatched lip colours was on the prototype on the website, not the dolls people are getting. She still seems overpriced to me, especially compared to the Little Miss match dolls she shares bodies with.

It's too bad that this beginner collector dolls as Tonner calls them cost so much for what they are.
