No, he is in Chicago, she is in California. K2 gives extremely good instructions as to what he would like to do and works it out with the guest stars' owner who then does the photographing and sends him the photos. It's a remote collaboration.

I only know because my Sherris has "appeared" in MV as well so I've been through the process

This story was done long-distance, but in the past the dolls have actually traveled back and forth. The Dark Woods story involved Diamond coming out here (I think...or was that one CGI as well? Argh!!!). The Caribbean story with Robbie Zombie in which Alice was a participant meant Alice went back to Chicago. Then a few years ago, Zirconmermaid's Lily and Alerich came out here to get married, along with Diamond, who was the person who married them.

So the dolls do actually travel back and forth. And Greyhaunt, K2!, and Zirconmermaid have all been out here in Northern CA (or at least SF and Fresno) for meet-ups or conventions so we have all gotten together then too. Kiki's crew was here for a while, too.

Sometimes dolls come for a visit and end up staying (as in Capri, who came out for a visit and liked it so much she decided to stay permanently).

Hazel visited Diamond remotely for her guest appearance, but K2! and the girls have been here in MN and actually at Hazel's house!! Hazel loves visiting with Diamond and takes a proprietary interest in Miyuki.
