8. What do you look for in posing? Single-jointed or Double-jointed?

I like double-jointed best. Joe my first BJD doesn't pose as great as my double-jointed ones. Which makes me sad that I can't put her in better poses like she deserves. :(

In fashion dolls I look for joints in their elbows, shoulders, knees, and hips. Wrists and ankles joints are a great bonus.

Double jointed all the way. Posing is very important to me and the reason why I sold Zeph's first body to get her a double jointed one. I needed to suede it, but now it's perfect <3

Coming from the Obitsu and 1/6 side of things. I would say double jointed for posing. So as long as the joints don't look too ugly I not quite bothered by it.

And now that I have a 1/3 bjd of my own and he's a single jointed. My initial reaction was 'Doh!' On account of the largish hole that's there when I bend his arms and legs. But then I didn't get my bjd for his articulation but for his overall looks.

I would still prefer a double jointed as long as it don't look too awkward.

If I can choose, I go for double-jointed . Most dolls of mine are single-jointed though, I think.

I prefer double-jointed if possible, so long as the joints don't detract too much from the rest of the look of the doll. So far only one, but soon to be two, of my dolls are double-jointed and it's so much more fun to pose them then the single-jointed dolls. One of my dolls has suwarikko-type legs, so she can sit very cutely, while anothe has doubled jointed knees so she can kneel.

I often wish Fleur was double-jointed so she could be in more animated poses, but I would never try to re-shell her because of her body.

Definitely double-jointed over single. And bonus if the joints are well-designed and don't detract from the beauty of the body. Fairyland, for example, has some very nicely designed joints. I can get my dolls into all sorts of poses and they still manage to look very natural.

I think I will be in a minority here, but I like single jointed. I don't think of Puki's as double jointed, since they are single plus a kneecap. Of course, OBITSU!! Or Sweet Dolls.

I actually don't know yet. I have 1 doll that's single jointed, and 1 doll that's double jointed and I see the pros and cons of both but I can't decide what I like better.

My double-jointed doll DEFINITELY poses better and has better stability. But SOOM's double jointing involves actually having two parts instead of 1 slightly bigger part with added movement (i.e. my doll technically has '2' knees, 1 you can see and 1 slightly hidden) and they drive me crazy when they slide into strange positions in the middle of posing and I have to do it all over again.

I like single jointed. I thought I would like double-jointed better, but I actually find it to be a pain.

Don't care much beyond the basic joints at the wrists, knees, ankles, arms, some neck movement. If a doll has more, great, but as long as the doll can sit, bend it's knees, arms and wrists I'm not that picky. I like posable vs stiff but I don't go out of my way to avoid dolls that are less articulate than the double jointed ones. I do like toes that flex when it comes to fashion dolls and wrists that bend. As much as I love the Lorifina's the one huge flaw with those dolls is that their wrists can't bend. With all the articulation they have otherwise I just don't get why they didn't have that feature.
