Azone bodies with Obitsu/Parabox heads?

Postby Evelien » Wed Jan 23, 2013 2:36 am

When Richila posted somewhere how she felt a travel doll made her so happy, I realized I miss my smaller dolls. I'm thinking of getting an Azone Pure Neemo body and I have a few questions.

- Who has Pure Neemos here? I'd love to see them!

- How is the posing?
I understand nothing beats Obitsu, but what worries me is that Pure Neemo bodies are sold in certain positions: standing type, sitting type... Can they be posed AT ALL?!

- Full Azone dolls are very expensive. Can loose Azone heads be found anywhere? I haven't been able to.

- Can Obitsu/Parabox heads be put on Azone bodies easily? How is the fit and the skin tone match?

Thanks so much in advance for any answers you can give me :-)

I have a Picco Neemo, which is the 1/12th scale Azone body. I put an Obitsu head on her and it works fine. Obitsu WS and Azone WS are pretty much the same color.

The Azone body is a solid poser but does have less joints than an Obitsu.

If you want the most poseable Pure Neemo, you probably want the "Flection" body.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

Wish I had took pics the time my friend brought out her Obi/volks/neemo heads out to hybrid to a neemo for lols

Not particularly sure about the loose heads though there's something known as the edit head. I'm not sure if the neemos can use it or its meant for their older Sahra line

Yeah Flection body is what you want since the seated ones are the older types and meant to look good seated. They are suppose to have all these parts for you to swap when you want them standing instead.
I remember vaguely the older body neemos are fond of throwing their limbs.

*edit*
I asked my friend, she said that Obitsu heads should work.
I'm thinking that if you have to do modding, it might be to enlarge the neck hole to fit the stump it in (or warm up the head and fit stump in)

There are some full set Neemos that go cheaper on Mandarake, but then there's shipping to consider

Thanks for the awesome tips and picspam so far!! :-D

Those Edit heads are wonderful, too bad they're sold out, but it's good to know they exist!

I've been doing research myself too today and I'm now having doubts again.. I might prefer the Picco Neemo body after all. So much comparing to do...

lol. Picoo Neemos are cute, but way too small for me to work with(my figmas don't get enough love as it is). They make a good palm top fairy for the 1/4 - 1/3 dolls though (ala Tinkerbelle and Fairy Yui of Sword Arts online)

Yeah, lol, you know what the problem is... When I was googling and flickring around finding pure neemo hybrids, I also found a picco neemo hybrid with a Nendoroid head... And I fell in love. That sculpted Nendoroid hair is just so perfect for a travel doll!! It won't get tangled! LOL! And they're so adorable!!!!

soooo.. I JUST placed an order with Hobby Search.. For a cute little nendoroid girl, a picco neemo D body and an extra set of hands :-P

You will have fun and the D body has big enough feet to stand. I love having my little travel doll.

Whick Nendo girl did you get? (Please say its Vocaloid Gumi)

I haven't seen a Pico neemo in person so i can't say whether you need to mod the nendo head to fit the neemo neck. The Nendo has a low head well for its own stump.

While we're on the subject of neemos.

Haha, I'm sorry, I got Kawashima Minami:

I'm a sucker for ponytails plus she has the cutest three expressions on her faceplates.

I'm hoping I got the right colour body though. I got a natural skin Picco Neemo and I now think I should have gotten a whity.
