lol

I noticed recently that Shard has mellowed the teeniest tiniest little bit (and yet he is noticeably not GLARINGLY white anymore) and that got me wondering about the yellowing process. My secondhand Dollzones led to the follow-up questions about when yellowing stops.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

The only doll (body) I own that's pretty yellow, is Rosa's Everpurple body which I got second hand and which is quite old.

My other dolls must have yellowed a bit too, but it's unnoticeable (spelling?) to me. I only noticed that Jonathan, my IH Ryan, had yellowed a bit when I sat on his foot and had to order a new pair of feet from Iplehouse. Woops... His feet are much pinker than the rest of his body, LOL :-P

My natural yellow DZ Chen who I got second hand has no noticeable yellowing that I can tell, however the jointed hands I got him (DZ natural yellow but from a different time) which are about a year old have yellowed like crazy. Kellan who is BBB natural spent a week in semi shade at the beach and looks exactly the same. Actually, none of my BBB's or RS's have yellowed at all but the DollChateau boy I have (which should be the same resin as DZ) has gone from paper white to a slightly creamier white which is very pleasant. The Lutz head I have (I have had it for two years and it was old when I got it) has gotten pinker, which I didn’t know was possible. I forget my original point, but the rate and amount of yellowing does vary by quite a lot from company to company. I suppose the conditions we all keep our dolls in vary too much to get an accurate survey on it, but it would be interesting to see which companies yellow the slowest and least compared to each other.

I've had Woon for almost 2 years now, and I haven't noticed any yellowing on him yet. Perhaps it's so gradual that it's difficult to tell, but if he has been yellowing then I sure don't see anything bad about it yet.

I'm just worried about Sul... >_>; Yellowing I can live with. I've seen a bunch of 'yellowed' dolls on DoA and most of them seem fine. But GREEN? "Beauty green"? Uh... No. It'd be one thing if I bought some sort of green forest fairy doll or something, but I didn't order her with such intentions.

She's still new so I don't see any color changes on her at all, but when she starts aging I really hope I got one dolls that either stay nice and "Cream White" (her original skin tone) or just start yellowing.

Protect your white or tanned dolls everyone!
