Congrats to those who have already lost a bit! Every pound counts, right?

This past weekend I finally stepped on a scale. Only 3 pounds over my pre-holiday weight. I always wait to weigh myself until I know that I'm already losing so I can tell myself it was worse. It makes things more positive from the start.

I'm shooting for 30 pounds to start. I may want to go for another 10 or so more, but am not certain. I have no clue on an ultimate goal weight. Genetics in my family tend to make us look anorexic if we get too close to the so called "proper" weight for height ratios, so I know I need to be somewhere over that mark, I just don't know where.

yes, but the "keep moving" part flushes you out faster. If you stop moving it just settles and takes longer to work out of the muscles. At least that's what I was told. Not sure if I believe it or not. But I feel fine as long as I keep moving, it's when I stop that everything stiffens up.

I got off track exercise wise starting at Thanksgiving. My son got engaged and I got a new grandaughter. Holding and playing with her is fun, but my aerobics time dropped from 60+ minutes per day to 30. On the plus size, I can now lift a 10 pound kettlebell easily due to picking her up daily for 2 months. Got to get it back together, I have to do 60+ minutes of aerobics 7 days a week to keep my metabolism high enough to lose weight. I got 60 minutes done yesterday for the first time in months.

I'm pondering lifting some weights, but I'm already doing cardio 45 min x 5days a week.

Weights will build muscle which means you burn more calories.

Strength training can also help with bone density!
Also, if anyone of you found classes that offered "High Heeled Exercises" Please... don't....do it.... that is a disaster waiting to happen. >_<
