Creating a doll... for my MOTHER-IN-LAW! :D

Postby PopularFizzyDrink » Sun Feb 10, 2013 11:51 am

So my mother-in-law's husband got in contact with me asking if I could create a BJD for her! ... WOW!

She's always admired my dolls, especially my winking Arrietty {Doll-Love Janeshine} and there just HAPPENS to be one on the DoA marketplace atm. *mutters* I'm not giving away mine...

AHEM! So this will be my secret WIP thread of my progress making and creating a lovely BJD character for her. I already know what sort of doll she likes, it's just a case of collecting it all in secret (shhhh...) but I need SOME creative outlet. What better place than Dollieh Sanctuary :D

*jumps up and down* Yayayayayay! I get to create a doll... and not have to PAY!

Thats great! Did he say anything about how he thinks it should be or can you just live out your own ideas on the doll?

I have about $240 to spend, so a smallish budget, but I can get her a good doll for that. Doll-Love dolls are lovely :)

She definitely wants a blonde doll, which is good as I have a spare Bluefairy wig that's blonde, and she wants doc marten boots! Apart from that it's up to me :D she likes funky clothing and fantasy faceups which is right up my street!

Anyone know where I can get some doc marten style boots for MSD??

For the shoes, you could try Mimiwoo. http://www.mimiwoo.com/index.php?cPath=21_41
They might have something that could work and it's free shipping.
