New Uniforms- Mary and Melisande

Mary and Melisande got new school girl uniforms. I made the skirts. I bought the shirts because I am not INSANE and there are a dozen little teeny tiny pieces AT LEAST, not to mention working buttons and buttonholes. Also I don't knit so I bought the cardigans.

I want to take them on a field trip in their new outfits. Just have to have Life calm down enough to do it.

I went to a public school and I always thought it would be fun to wear a uniform. I guess if you have to wear one, usually you hate it. But the idea of not having to worry about what I wore every morning- that must be kind of nice.

It is probably why I only own 4 different styles of tunics-in many different colors- and always wear black pants. Two tunic styles are work/church and the other two are date/play clothes. I only have two styles of dresses-in different colors-as well. It is so much easier to always know what you are going to wear.

The girls look great! Those pleats came out well and I love that they have matching braids.

I always wanted a uniform. I basically have made myself a uniform for my office now. I have like three of the same black skirts that I wear everyday, a plan tank top, cardigan, tights and flats. All of the colors go together well enough that I can literally grab one of each without looking in the morning and I know it will come out okay.

So cute cirquemom! Where did you get their wigs?

I *think* I got them from Yomi doll. At least Mary's burgandy one was from there. Not sure about Melisande's pink one, but it might have been from there too. They are kind of spotty on what they have at any given time, though. If you're looking for a pink one you might try just doing a search on ebay. Also- they are just long wigs that I braided myself.
