Well La De Da and Fiddledee dee

Postby Kirahfaye » Thu Feb 21, 2013 7:54 am

Sorry, I couldn't help my self!

I bought a cute little La De Da doll and she is quite adorable. The only thing is - I don't care for her less than posable body. I have a normal skin Obitsu head and checked the coloring and it seems to be a close match, but I was wondering if anyone has modded the La De Da heads onto another body (Obitsu or other) and what the experience was like. I don't want to end up with a ruined doll, since I'm not much for experimentation.

Genkigirl.com beheads one, the neck looks like a little knob like some older Barbies would have so it looks quite doable.

Just do an image search for La Dee Da doll on Yahoo and it turns up on the first page.

SQQQUEALLL! I need to see this!!! I have been wanting a La Dee Da but have the same concerns about the body too. I do, however, love their huge heads and outfits. I might like to see one on a 21 or 23cm. What size were you thinking??

I have heard of people giving them Monster High bodies since they are the best fit for the clothes outside their original bodies.

I have Tylie as Kabuki Cutie, but while her outfit is adorable, I don't mind giving her a fashion doll body like Obitsu.

The neck is SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPER tiny, so you have to bevel out the neck hole a bit so it can sit on other bodies better. I had to do this for my hybrid:

But yeah, if you carve it out slowly it won't be a problem.
