I mentioned in the Sux thread that my wonderful plans had backfired a little ... so here's a nekkid pic of the hybrid in question, Elfdoll Yuan on Doll In Mind 2.0 body:



What do you guys think? She looks like a Monster High or Bratz doll to me next to my Iples, but I'm finding myself getting used to it already ... I'm just so torn, I really wanted this character shelled and it took ages to find a head that fit the bill. I'm not fond of the Elfdoll bodies but the DiM one was both less pricey and more my thing esthetics-wise AND it had similar measurements to boot. But when I ordered Yuan I didn't know about the crazy head size variations Elfdoll has going on ... so this happened.

What K2! said, wig and dress her. My hybrid is a titch pinheaded, but with a wig and clothes it's unnoticeable!

I'm not sure it's fair to her to be compared to an Iplehouse since they seem to be one of the more realistic sculpt shapes out there. If you had her next to a DZ or BBB or an Obitsu, I bet she'd look just fine!

Personally I think she looks just fine... And both of them are so pretty!!!

She looks fine to me. She doesn't have the realistic proportion of an Iplehouse, but rather she looks like she has the usual look of a BJD withe head to body ratio.

With wig and clothes it's definitely not nearly as noticeable, so I wouldn't worry about it too much ^_^ Even naked I don't think it's TOO bad of a proportional match. Just a bit off. I know the feeling though of having your expectations dashed. It bugs you even if it doesn't bug others that look at it because you already know about it.

Once you get her posing and all it'll be even less noticeable though. Some neck jewelry might help too, particularly chokers if they suit her.

She's quite pretty though, so congrats on that! I love the Yuan head sculpt a LOT! One of my favorite Elfdoll heads.

Thanks, everyone! I feel better about her already. I guess most of it was the shock of discovering that something was off.
And the girls thank you for saying they're pretty!

Dirili, Yuan is one of my favorites too, followed by Eun-A, Vivien and Rita. But I'm not sure if any of them will ever come to live here, not with the crazy size thing ... I'd have to see them in person first before I buy any more Elfdolls. (I can almost see myself eating my words already.)

I really like her next to the other girl. It looks more like real people since they are different heights and proportions. Real people come that way!
