I don't have a ton of crazy moments. I don't really bring my dolls around places and my family doesn't even know I collect them. People at my university do, having seen them a few times and the pictures too.. So anyway, my craziest moment was when my undergrad professors told me I needed to put my dolls and the ones I worked on into my portfolio.

Standing in the elevator at work with my RS Chun and one of the ladies screams, "BARBIE!" and then tries to grab her from me. She then offered me $25 for her. Needless to say, I scared the poor woman to death without even saying anything or moving from where I was standing. I guess the look on my face was enough. *sigh*

...I have no words. I did have someone ask if they could take a picture of their dog with my "Barbies" once but they were totally nice and respectful of both me and the dolls. I just. No words.

You're a saint. I nearly pummeled a woman for grabbing my PD Tara by the face at a bjd doll meet. She was a doll owner so I don't know what the heck she was thinking.. other than the fact mine were not Volks, and thus not as good as her's according to her. I can't imagine what I would have done in that situation. This is why I am afraid of taking my dolls places.

This is actually a hard one because I'm had several crazy doll moments.

The most recent one was when I was doing an internship. My students were finishing a quiz when they spotted Kharis in the back of the room. Now, I come from a place where the teenage boys don't even look at dolls. However, they take a fascination in Khar, and they start moving close to him to get a closer look. The pure curiosity and interest those boys showed was unbelievable. I actually received a couple of questions about him.

Honestly, my son says I work in an insane asylum where the inmates have taken over. I've quit bringing my dolls to work, though. The people that work in my building...I know I'm not the sanest person on the block but when my kids tell my my coworkers are weirder than I am, that's saying something.

Considering we have police that work in my building, I think that was more self-preservation than anything else.

I would have had the same gut feeling that you did if that happened to me. I get the "oooooooooh! Can I hold her?!?" in that awed voice. Grabby like that freaks me out, too.

I don't really have any.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

18. Craziest doll moment!

Dressing Rio's body with a sock sweater I made before he got a head. His nickname was The Headless Sock for some time.

Sorry for lateness again. Life was being life.

During a photostory Ivan's winkie had managed its way out of the fly and was poking out. /facepalm They really need to put a second snap on those pants cause when the doll sits it makes the front open and THINGS stick out to say hello.

I suppose mine would be "The Mystery of the Shifted Shirt". This was a few years ago. I was taking pictures of Kratos, Anna, and their son Lloyd.

The picture with Lloyd and Kratos, you can see that most the hooks are together and his shirt is closed(minus the diamond in the center, but that is supposed to be there). (Forgive the no face-up little one, and the twisted finger).
Image

Than I took Lloyd away, back to his area which is across the room, and put Anna down with Kratos, posed them, and turned around to get my camera, and his shirt was now like this...
Image
You can see that the shirt has shifted showing a lot more of his chest. Now I know it must have somehow shifted when I put Anna down, and I didn't notice, but I kinda like to think that Anna did it on purpose, because that is something her character would do.
Kratos Aurion (AOD Chen), Anna Aurion (Modified RS Mei), , Lloyd Aurion(Modified Felix Brownie, and AOD Le Le) Usagi Chiba (Modified RS Ju), Mamoru Chiba (RS Mai)
