Shoes to fit Limhwa EOS 43cm heel feet?

Postby Stormlight » Sun Mar 10, 2013 8:59 am

I bought a tan Sujan from JS the other week and she came with heel feet. I LOVE her heel feet, but I have no idea what shoes will fit them.

I heard Tonner shoes fit? American Model shoes, which are tight but do fit? Can anyone verify this? I've asked both on JS and DOA, but no answer so far. I found a shop on Ebay that sells these shoes, but before I go ordering a bunch, I wanted to verify that they'll actually work. I don't have any Tonner dolls so I don't want to end up with shoes that won't fit any of my dolls.

And are there any other styles that might fit? Regular BJD 1/4 heel feet shoes I don't think will work. The heels aren't nearly high enough on the ones I've seen so far. They'd have to be stilettos. lol

Anyway, any advice/suggestions would be appreciated!

Shopping for doll shoes is more like shopping for your own shoes than you would think. Buying a doll's shoes by a general size or by a single manufacturer like SD or Dollmore is like shopping for your own real shoes by just looking for "Adult" shoes or "Nikes". There are too many variations within a general size or brand. You need to know exactly how big the doll's feet are so you can buy the appropriate size shoes. First, measure your doll's foot length (heel to toe) in centimeters. Now look for shoes that list an inner length of you dolls foot length and a little longer (+1-2cm). Shoes with the same exact inner length as your doll's foot may or may not fit. It will depend on the style and how the measurement was taken. Best to be safe and go a bit bigger. If a shoe says, "Fits most SD" or "MSD size", no matter how much you like them, move on unless there is an inner length listed, or you'll have a drawer full of expensive "near misses".
Unless you are buying shoes from the same manufacturer that made the doll feet, matching the exact curve of a specific high heeled doll foot will remain a guessing game until you get a "feel" for the look of the size of heel you need. Knowing the doll's foot length will get you in the ballpark.
