Azazel- Hujoo Arthur

Postby Siead » Tue Mar 12, 2013 12:02 pm

So i snagged the arthur on a whim, and have spend some time shelling him into his own character. he does need a better cloak, and his scythe, but this is his progress so far.
i'm still not a fan of the arm joints, they seem kinda limited compared to the other BJD i have in terms of some movement, but the gears are still cool. The shoes and leg guards help with his standing too, although he still likes to topple.

Im having the same mobility problem with my Hujoo Leo, those shoulder-arms are really odd and have limited movement.
tho these new Hujoo Action dolls are really kawaii

Wait does he have green eyelashes?

i'm almost tempted to saw another joint in his arm to give it a better rotation but i would be afraid of wrecking it.

and yeah, i painted a watered-down green over his eyelashes a few times to tint them. the white ones i made for Rik don't look that good but were the same method.

@quidam: thank-you!

I never did get around to doing a better story on it. but it is possible. The arm isn't round, so the joint is obvious when rotated. But it really adds mobility. Someone else achieved similar results by removing one of the ratchet pieces in the elbow.

thank-you so much zirconmermaid! i'll try removing part of the elbow first but if that fails i'll use your method :)

edit:

i figured out while examining the joint that i can managed to hurf the post out enough to turn the arm how i want to. it looks weird while his arms are bare but i was planning on making him a sleeved cloak in the future so that will hide it. i have this diswant of modding dolls that cost me over the hundred dollar mark lol.
