Of the three materials commonly used for a BJD, resin, vinyl and ABS, the ABS is the most resistant to staining because it is the least porous. Obitsu have ABS joints, and the don't stain there usually, Hujoo's are really durable and hard wearing. I think you will like Rose!

Candycane-ditto what Zirconmermaid said. I love my Hujoos. Very durable, always nicely made, and very affordable. I can't wait to see what this thicker ABS is like.

Thanks LiveLoveYarn and zirconmermaid, I think I have been enabled! Now I am trying to decide if I want just Rose, or if I should get one of each. If I want to do their faceups myself, I think will need to get a can of MSC, but I am not sure which type to get. Or if one can will be plenty, or would I be better off getting the 3 pack. So many choices!

I was just comparing the measurements of these girls to the 30cm (12") tall Ruby Red Galleria "Lia" dolls, and the measurements are very close! I think these Hujoo girls will be able to wear Ruby Red Galleria clothing. Apparently Hujoo Rose and Lily are very slightly thinner. The wig size is also the same (but not the eye size).

i choose lily!!!! i love her eyes and lips
and after watch the video, it said its using 18mm eyes... i bough 16mm eyes....
now i have to find eyes that fit her when she arrived.

My Rose arrived! Her quality is excellent. The painting is quite good ... very delicate and professional-looking ... and the ABS plastic looks and feels just like resin to me. It feels like a smooth resin, like what Bobobie uses. I really can't tell her apart from a resin doll, either visually OR by feel. The weight is good, too.

I'd got the cat ears with her (sold separately), and was slightly disappointed that the cat ears aren't the same skin color as Hujoo Rose. The cat ears are a paler color. I guess I'll be painting them tonight, because I can't wait to put them on her! They're going to look smashing once painted.

Rose is a sullen little brat. LOL.





Here she's wearing size 14mm green glass eyes and a Monique Gold Collection "Pretty Girl" wig in size 6-7". The problem with these Monique wigs is that they're really bad about having a thousand flyaway strands of hair that you can't tame unless you put some sort of hair gel on it.

I'd made the dress for a Ruby Red Galleria "Lia" doll originally, but it fits Rose pretty well. The shoes I bought for Lia fit Rose, as well.
