Sharing some sorrow

Postby Greyhaunt » Fri Mar 22, 2013 1:11 pm

For the past fourteen years my life has been enriched by the love and companionship of Romany, my little corgi/sheltie dog. For the past several months, however, age was catching up with her and she was slowing down steadily. Yesterday she began to walk in circles, listing always to the left. She was restless, yet not eating and only occassionally drinking.

Today Dad and I took her to the vet, and let her go.

I held her in my arms until she was gone, then lowered her head down so she looked like she was just sleeping. Rest in peace my sweet girl. I will miss you, but you will always be in my heart.

Oh, Grey-sama, I'm so sorry!!! Losing a beloved pet is more than that----it's losing your best friend. :hugs: I'll be praying for your comfort and I know that one day, you'll see her again. ^^

Big hugs, I know what it's like to lose that much love. Don't be afraid to welcome another, it might help.
