IzabethS is on the forum, you should PM her and ask her. I liked him, but I didn't handle him and his legs weren't there. I'm not sure she was sent them.

I'll find out soon enough. I have bodies on the way, grin. Girl and boy, 1/4!!!! Now, if I can just get the heads thing squared away. Probably will be Christmas till I get that happening though.

Planet Doll sells heads in 1/4 for less than $100 each.
I am linking Denver doll so you can see different pics.

Thanks, but this kind of thing, it's exactly what I don't want. These heads from what I can tell they all look like they're well under 14 years old. Mirodoll bodies are really mature for these kinds of heads. I can't put a boy's head on a young man's body. It's just too weird to me. The heads they have to look like their in the late teens or the 20's otherwise it will look totally perverted. I know BJD people do it all the time, that anime thing, but seriously it creeps me out seeing a little kid's head on a body that's that much older. I've actually seen several girl's heads that might work under $100. It's the guy that I am really having problems with. Most of the guy heads that have an older look are 1/3 heads and/or very expensive. Most of the MSD sized doll heads are girls or what looks like 12 year old boys. I did find a couple here and there but they're mostly sold out. I've bookmarked those sites though so I can keep an eye on them for new heads as they come out. Apparently any MSD sized guy that looks like he's a young man instead of a boy goes pretty quickly. I kind of wish Miro had had more to offer, but by the time I ordered all they had was a young kid boy in 1/4 and a young girl. Most of the rest were the bigger heads and I honestly didn't much like them anyhow. Love the bodies, but the heads I thought kind of sucked.

Question, this guy isn't as old as I'd like, but at least he doesn't look 12. I'm not crazy about the huge ears though. When it comes to elf BJD's can the ears be removed and normal ones put in or are they sculpted like normal ears would be? I kind of like this guy, but those ears they're just a bit much...

This one is a little snotty, lol. I think it's a girl for all it's name is Dane, but it's a 1/4 doll and I kind of like it. Also I could afford it. There's a boy I like too but he's a 1/3 doll again...

http://www.mintoncardinc.com/dolls/item ... 6&DOLL=YES

Got it, there's a human version of Elfboy and he's 1/4 too! YES. What do you think? Her plus him? They are a bit of a snooty pair sans a face up I must say but they are cheap and not bad, and more importantly they'll fit I think. Now the only question is what color skin will match the Miro dolls?

I wish this guy came in MSD size though. He looks more like a guy, guy, and I rather like his face.

This guy would be even better but he's huge too....

Here are the AoD 1/4 heads and they're all $45 plus s/h:

http://www.aoddoll.net/category.php?id=3

Some are really pretty mature, like Yu Luo, Chun Ze, possibly An and Min, Cheng and Wang ZI aren't too youthful looking, either. Chi and Tao Huadao aren't too bad, either. I totally vouch for AoD sculpts looking very realistic once a good realistic faceup is on them, and so versatile. We've used AoD heads for our 'real life' people portrait dolls of 30+ yr old guys. (Of course, we have 1/3 guys, but AoD's 1/4 look well done, as well.)

Here's the link to order the head:
http://www.aoddoll.net/category.php?id=25

Just choose 1/4 and it'll change to $45 USD. ^^

Another company with beautiful sculpts that are mature is Dollmore:
These are their 1/4 girl heads that should fit the Miro body pretty well:

They're $80 each plus s/h.

They also have 4 boys: Jeremy, Essex, Jaden and Chris, but I don't know if they sell their heads separately.
Here is the full doll of Jaden:

And Chris:

Jeremy:

Essex:

You may find their heads on the DoA Marketplace or maybe if you ask Dollmore if they sell them separately?

I really love both AoD and Dollmore for realistic, proportionate and mature sculpts.

Probably the Pale Normal would be best, though the Pink wouldn't be too bad either.
Miro is REALLY pale.

I really like her and all those guys are great. I'll have to keep an eye out and email them to see what they say. That's much more like what I had in mind. Much better. That's the only 1/4 head I'm seeing for the AoD dolls though. The rest is all heads and bodies and they're like $150 and up. That's not the just heads section. That link is the only doll that's in there under that category. I would do her though. She's gorgeous and at $45 I could do her when the doll bodies get here. The guy will probably take me till Christmas though. Looks like I'd be paying more for him.

I was kind of looking at that and thinking the pink might be too pink. I'm going to wait until I have the bodies in hand most likely just to make sure I have the right measurements and I can see the color I'm working with just to be safe. I can't afford to mess this up.

I like that AoD girl. The more I look at her the more I like her. I'm going to get that head I think, put it on lay-a-way. By the time I have her paid off maybe the bodies will be here. I emailed them about boy heads, but I just don't see much there. Just sets. I'm going to email that second company, ask them about heads. I would do a boy like that. Definitely.
