Weekly DQ: #27

Postby Gift_in_Edge » Sun Apr 14, 2013 6:21 am

This week's Dollieh Question from our list. (viewtopic.php?f=41&t=6677)

27. If you could change anything about one of your dolls, what would you change? It could be jointing, accidental injuries, anything.

I wish I could get Joe a better posing body. But she's such unusual size I'm not sure I will ever find one. :(
I love her dearly never the less.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

With my Dollmore Luv, I'd change her joints so she can pose better. Or at least sit up on her own without flopping backward. The body is beautiful, but not very well designed, I'm afraid. Sans that, if I could find her a 50cm body in stark white skin that had better posing, I'd probably just give her a whole new body.

And all my white skin Delfs, I'd find away to de-yellow them, since they look more green than yellow, especially my poor Evensong. She can't ever wear white anymore; it's way too obvious she's gone green over the years.

I've always wanted a newer body for Evienne and Coralina. They're clunky and the clothes I have for them usually have to be forced to fit just because they're much wider than most dolls their size. I love them, but man does it bother me sometimes.

I'd improve posing on my Iples' legs or my DiM hybrid's arms. I might actually be able to fix the latter, the main problem apart from the elbow design seems to be the elastic channels in the shoulder balls. But those Iple legs ... I just don't know. What's the point of double joints if they don't engage?

I'd give Fleur a double-jointed body. She's my dancer but her posing looks so awkward and not natural at all. :(

At first I was going to say change the Nano-Haruka head to resin for Cordie, but she poses so well with the light weight vinyl that I am not sure I would. It would be fun if all of my dolls were 1/12 scale. I just need a shrink ray.

I'd give my Delilah's proper bending ankles and toes that changed from fashion to flat so I didn't have to change out her feet to change shoes and I'd also articulate my Lorifina dolls more.

I would have Akane's nose changed back to the way it was before he took a fall. It's lightly chipped.

I would change Todd's arms to bend the proper way. >> The elbow is directly on the sides, so his arms mostly only bend straight across his chest. I keep wondering if the Doll Leaves' New 60cm body's arms could work on the old one.

I'd also like the lower part of his knee joint to not buckle and bend backwards. xD And the only other thing with him is his head seems flat, so his wig ends up not touching at the top.

I feel like these are things I could fix somehow though. xD

I would change Tennin's original hands, so that I never broke the fingers.
