I'm about an hour south of Boston, closer to Providence RI than Boston, so I'm ok. Such a tragic thing to happen though.

I keep typing sentences to describe my feelings about it but there are no words to describe them. What I saw yesterday evening in the news about the bombing in Boston...disbelieve ... All those people out there and then those bombs.... Dutch news wasn't too sensitive about the images it send out... Hope everyone here and their loved ones are safe. And that there will be no more losses to mourn.

Glad you're okay, Okami! It's just one of those things where you never know who's down there since it's so international and so big.

Thanks for checking in, Okami. Like ColoredImage said, since it was a big event you never know who might have been down there.
Glad you checked it. Such a tragic event. And Lif- I saw a couple of images on the news I felt were maybe a bit too intense and should not have been shown also.

Don't think much about the bad parts, think about the brave heroes who ran towards to help and all of those who helped take care of runners along the route. You can't keep good people down no matter what.

I'm very heartbroken for all those poor people who suffered. I wish I could comfort those who are grieved. It is with a heavy heart I write it's post about those innocent people. Thank goodness everyone who is posting is safe.

I love Colbert. I think the best photo response I've seen so far is still Mr. Rogers, though.

One of the wounded that had his legs blown off was an employee for Costco. My store, among others, is holding donations for the cause, and anyone that donates gets a Costco name badge that says "Jeff - Stay Strong Boston". I don't care if it is against company policy, any one of my employees that donated, I let them wear the name badge.
