2 of my Delilah's probably could use some restringing. They're strung a bit off, but because she's not exactly made like a normal BJD from what I can tell I'm rather afraid to go there. Restringing is the one thing that kind of worries me about getting resin BJD's actually. I'm afraid I won't be able to do it and I'm thinking with the Miro doll bodies I might need to.

Well, even if they get floppy you don't necessarily HAVE to restring them.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I've restrung all of my dolls except for my Doll Chateau boy and my Hujoo girl. They're both fine. Taavi came far too tight to the point that you couldn't remove his head. And the others are all BBB/RS and needed restrung for being too loose. Originally I would just tighten the elastic in them but it stretched so quickly it was just better to replace it.

I can honestly say I have never had to restring any of my Obitsu's. That bad joke inflicted, actually I will probably restring several of my dolls. An average lifespan of elastic in a doll is five years. Elidor is almost 7 and he is heavy. He needs new string. Elianna, also a DZ doll, is almost the same age and isn't in need of new elastic at all. She is MSD to his 70cm. The only doll that will be difficult to restring is my Goodreau girl, she is only partially strung and it is with connectors. It seems that many people fear re-stringing, but it is actually very simple! Just keep your left and right parts separate, and make sure you know which way a joint like elbow and knee peanuts go before unstringing and you will be fine. There are tutorials online, and many helpful people here.

I have restrung lots of dolls, and it's actually rather fun!

I find that my 'new' addition needs restringing because even after I pulled up the strings and knotted it
the legs still spin around outta whack.
This is different than being a tad floppy which some of my other dolls are.

Anakin- Goodreau Schemer
Robin- Impdoll Bobo
Willow- Hujoo Suve........Bran- Hujoo Suve

I have issues with all three of mine. My dz girl is a little too tight but there is no extra string to restring her. My islanddoll girl is too loose but the hole for the elbows is so small it took an hour each arm to get the string back through and it is squished so the elastic cant really move. And the hujoo, despite tightening it several times, still wants her.back to flop around.
Because skittles are overrated.
