As for my gripe it looks like my eye lids are swelling up again from seasonal allergies I developed this year. Everything around us is in bloom. It's not comfortable and not pretty but I'll live.

Ugh, my deepest sympathies. This year has been horrific for allergy sufferers -even people who don't normally *get* allergies have been hammered by them this time.
A friend of ours introduced me to Zyrtec D this year- it's not perfect, but allows the best balance of allergy suppression and mental functionality that I've found.

In an actual clinical double-blind study, 75% got at least some relief, 63% got as much relief as Clariten, 42% got better relief than Clariten. It also has no side effects like drowsiness. BUT! If you have live problems you are advised to not use it, and you are advised not to stay on it any longer than you have to.
