Oh, how awful for you and your family during the Christmas season!! :hugs deeply: I'm so so sorry, Mlatch-san! And please accept my deepest condolences and sympathy for your wife. She must be so very upset! I hope and pray she'll be feeling better soon.

Wow that does suck Mlatch, I hope everyone is pulling through okay.

Hmm, my "teh sucks" is that I think I might have a lost doll body issue. Track-Trace makes it look lost in China (last left a distribution center on December 8th) while USPS makes it look backlogged (last arrived at the distribution center that Track-Trace said it left). I've emailed Dennis at Bobobie once so far asking about the delay and was told mail is very slow right now... meanwhile, other people are getting their Bobobie dolls just fine, all direct-to-company orders anyways. I'm gonna have to email him soon and ask specifically if he thinks it's lost, I mentioned it in my followup reply as hoping it wasn't and he didn't say anything back. This is a red Isabella body for my Soom Trachy surprised head who told me not only is it a dolly all its own but she is a girl (sister to Ramza her brother who I thought would use both heads originally).

I don't even know how well the resin will match and I already know there will be a noticeable neck gap because Lilia has an NS Bobobie Isabella insta-best-friend named Alice home as of a while ago. If the resin doesn't match I'll have a fun blushing and tattoos project (haven't ever done tattoos on a doll yet, looking forward to it) and if it does match... I think I'll do tattoos anyways. So I'm disappointed on quite a few levels that I don't know where this body is and I kinda don't know why Dennis said shipping was slow... other than a friend who isn't into dolls said China ebay shipments were telling her 1 month shipping times lately and when I called USPS a bit ago about the tracking info, the lady there said something bad had gone down in that general vicinity. Being as I don't watch the news (don't have TV at the moment and I don't like the US news media anyways), I still am not sure "what went down."

So yeah that is my rant. I waited about the average production time for Bobobie and now have waited almost an extra month on shipping that seems to have vanished off the planet. Mrr.

Dennis is pretty terrible except if you post on their forums for some reason... I'm very surprised this one wasn't DHL, that's how all my BBB packages have come lately.

The last one came by Fedex of all things. O.o That was Zhas. I am thinking about posting to the forums this time actually, that way it's more open for all to read and not just email. But I'm also not sure that's the right way to handle it if I have to ask him "is the body lost and if it is, what now"...

He wouldn't respond to my e-mail of "oi you sent me the wrong doll" so... I had to forum it up. >.<;

So besides being MIA here, my life has seemed to be the perfect suckz... hubby and I both went to work early this morning and he got a call from our landlord, who btw is in our apartment UGH, says that there is 2 inches of water on our kitchen floor and the apartment below us had water leaking through the ceiling. Needless to say we both rushed home and found two guys mopping up our floor. So hubby talked to the landlord since i was still on my way home and he says that our apartment is "a horrendous mess not even fit enough for our rats to live in" and if it's not spotless by next month we're going to have to look for a new place to live. I know our apartment isn't perfect by no means, but I mean come on threatening to evict us?? It might take one day to clean it up and it'll be fine.... ugh why do things always go from bad to worse!!!! *scream into pillow* :evil:

You know, it really sucks when you do favors for people constantly (sometimes expensive favors) but the second you need a favor from them, they expect you to either pay them for their services, or make themselves scarce. I adore my friend, I really do. But I asked her for a ride 2 miles up the road, and suddenly she needs gas money. It's not a huge deal, I can walk that far without a problem, but it's the principle of the matter.

And another thing... you do those favors and things for free for close friends, and suddenly everyone else expects the same. For instance, I'm an artist. I draw pictures for my close friends because I want to, but I also do commissioned work. Suddenly, some spoiled nitwit that I don't know from a hole in the wall, except as the sister of a friend of a friend, (not even the sister of a friend of mine!) decides she wants me to draw her a tattoo design. I try to subtly tell her I'm a commissioned artist. Her response is "So?" and continued to babble as though I never mentioned payment at all, not even so much as asking how much it would cost, when she doesn't have money of her own, and her mother does not want her to get a tattoo, so it's not like she would pay for it.

Sounds like a few people out there need to be reminded of the Little Red Hen. Nothing cuts down the Xmas card list like finding who can't be bothered to take you to the grocery store but can come over for dinner.

Just got another MoC order that was screwed up. This makes three strikes for them and I really just need to stop ordering from them now. All I ordered was 2 pairs of shoes and they couldn't even get this right, sent me one pair at 6.3cm size and one that was clearly 7cm. AND MY ORDER CLEARLY STATED THE SHOES WERE BOTH TO BE 6.3cm size. HOW DO YOU NOT NOTICE THE SHOES ARE NOT THE SAME SIZE?!

Eek. You got me scared about the order I placed with them. XD
Dawn has been extremely helpful by email so far though.
