Is Environmental resin one of the resins that does not amber or color shift in UV? My wicker porch furniture, for example, is resin. I have had it out in the bright morning sun for over 10 years and there has been NO fading or color shifting. No yellowing or ambering.
Are these Islandolls made of something like that?
I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help, since that type of resin was developed while I was on a 3 year hiatus from the hobby.
From what I understand, Environmental Resin is supposedly more environmentally-friendly, though I don't know in what way, and supposedly doesn't yellow as quickly as urethane. Since I've only had my IslandDoll for less than a year, the only difference I've noticed between her and my urethane dolls is the translucent quality.
Another type of resin is French resin, which is also translucent and supposedly has a natural, life-like glow. The downside to French resin is it yellows notoriously quickly.
