Do I need to treat fur wigs differently?

Postby SoapBubbles » Wed May 08, 2013 11:45 am

So I've heard that people use the following for fiber wigs:
    - Dish soap or Baby shampoo -> to wash the wig
    - Fabric softener -> like conditioner for doll hair
    - Hair wax or Hair spray -> to style the wig
Do I use the same products for fur wig maintenance/styling as well?

I know they're both made of synthetic material, but the wigs just feel so different... :?

I would treat a faux fur wig like clothing or a stuffed animal. Toss it in the wash or hand wash with some good detergent(wool-ite) or dish soap. Just don't put it in the dryer. :D

Ooh, so it's even easier to care for than fiber wigs. Thanks yarwel!
