So We Went to PNW BJD Expo (VERY image heavy)

We found out kinda last minute, but decided to make the roadtrip up to Washington. Met some cool people, saw some cool stuff, and took some cool pics!

First, it must be said, probably the biggest reason Googly agreed to this trip was because the show was being held literally next door to Puget Sound Naval shipyard. So about two miles before reaching the show, we started passing these bad boys:

Then when we actually got to our hotel, this was behind it:

(The USS Turner Joy is a floating museum currently, we climbed all over it the day after the show. Googs almost wet himself)

But thats not what y'all are here to see, so on to the dolls.
The best costume competitiors:

The lovely lady in the center with the dark low cut gown was my favorite. So lacy and beautiful!

There was also costumed dolls in storybook scenes!

This one was my favorite, it was a real tree trunk that had been hollowed out. Costumes were impeccable, and hiding inside was the best part:

Tiny Tinkerbelle! I love her little house, definitely need to do that one day!

There was also some absolutely awesome scenes built that you could place your dolls in for pictures. I really should have just grabbed shots of the whole scenes because they were just that great.
Ayako saw the unicorn backdrop and had to get all kawaii on me:

Looks sort of like high school yearbook pics to me, haha.

I had also brought the Chiclines in hopes of getting them some wigs and clothes. They abused their camera privileges a bit...

Ayako had some fun in the Rapunzel tower (this was actually up above my head! It was pretty high up)

And there was a bit of an impromptu Dollfie Dream shoot:

(I have a weird soft spot for Petshas, sorry!)

I was trying to grab face shots of everybody but my camera likes to be weird with its zoom.

And my favorite prop of all, the beanstalk. Seriously this was so cool and well made, the leaves had little platforms inside so even an SD could sit or stand on them.

So tall!

Did anyone else on here go? Anyone else got pics to share? Stupid me didn't get anyone's names I met up with, and didn't take any shots of the sales room OR dealer tables. The Ringdoll and Bluefairy booths were both quite impressive, and definitely sold me and Googs on their product quality (there was a Ringdoll boy on display standing totally unsupported, and he didn't fall or so much as wobble the whole day!)

Looks like so much fun! What a creative bunch of people to put together all of those scenes and props.
