Wonderful job! He has a sweet, fresh face. If you feel he looks too feminine, you might want to try making the lower lashes shorter and sparser. You did an amazing job on the eyebrows!

Thank you! Yeah, I definitely don't want him to be too masculine since it doesn't fit his personality, but I'd feel bad if he gets mistaken as a girl. Ha ha.

Yes, I shall fix his lower lashes the next time I do a face-up. Seems like that's the most important feature I need to fix to distinguish him as a 'sweet young boy' instead of a 'sweet girl'. Thank you for the compliments! :D

I looove his eyebrows and soft lips! I agree with the others though, the lower eyelashes are a bit long. But I have to say, my boyfriend has better, longer and darker eyelashes than me - he wouldn't need mascara if he wanted to use it! Hehe. Sometimes men have very prominent eyelashes actually.

-edit- horrible typo ><

Thank you very much for the compliments. Hmm... It'd be interesting to see if someone could pull of a long-lashed-yet-still-masculine face up.

If you want lashes, i personally would not apply to lashes and lightly (maybe even in a lighter color) draw them on. It's a great face up

I agree about the bottom eyelashes being a bit too thick/long. Otherwise he looks great and good job on your first attempt!
If you want to keep his upper eyelashes, then trimming them shorter makes them a little more manly. But K2! is right- a lot of the guys don't have eyelashes at all.
When you have him all dressed he'll look like a boy too.
Honestly - most boy faces can easily be made girls, and people who aren't into BJDs ALWAYS call my boy/men dolls "her", even when they are completely butched out.

my husband's lashes are like that. Plus he has better hair than me!

I think it's a great face-up, especially for a first. Great job!!!

Very cute!
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

Yeah, the bottom lashes definitely need some work done on them. Thank you. :D

Yeah, I actually found that with the right wig his face-up doesn't seem all that feminine at all! :)

Ha ha ha, really? Funny enough, my dad's even better than me at differentiating between doll genders.
