Got these this afternoon at a garage sale for like $1 a piece and they still had all their parts, purses, bags, shoes. Oscar even had his little China Girl. Fortunately he doesn't look much like Franco, who does absolutely nothing for me. I do like his hair and his clothes are awesome, particularly the boots, very steampunk, but his factory paint job kind of sucks. I may just OOAK him a little, get rid of the beard and make a new character out of him. He's got potential I just don't like him as he is and I have another 12" doll that I want to use his clothes on. My China Girl is going to be thrilled though to have her Minime. She's been kind of lonely being the only doll like herself. At least now she will have a little pal...

1/8 round elastic shock cord 24 feet worth, white epoxy putty, s-hooks, fine auto sand paper and an N45 mask to make sure my lungs are safe while I sand wet resin. I'm going to be sanding my RS Ju a bit this weekend to hopefully remove what's left of the dye job she had. Most of it soaked off but she's still got a few light blue spots I want to try to sand off on her torso and legs.

When I am done I am going to fill up the holes her last owner drilled in her then blush and face her all up again. She may yet get wings but if she does they are going to be held on with velcro. I don't think she really needs to have holes in her body to have some. The only holes I am leaving are the ones in her ears. I plan on making her some lovely sparkly earrings for those.

I've got to restring 3 dolls this weekend actually. I'm redoing my Miro dolls too. I just don't care for the elastic that they used. I already carefully tightened and restrung them using their elastic but a couple of weeks later you'd never know it. They're flopping all over the place again. I want to use the thicker elastic and suede them this weekend I think. Next week I'll probably attempt a faceup on those two but I want to do my RS Ju first.

I totally spoiled myself. I bought the original Baldur's Gate for my iPad. I <3 Minsc and Boo. "Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!" Now if the programmers would come out with Shadows of Amn, I would be in geek Heaven.

Some of my 'haul' from my trip to the big town.

Pictured are a Lagoona/Cleo Scaris set (I'll be looking to re-home Lagoona) from TRU, an Oz from Target that was on sale (I'll probably re-home tiny China girl too), a Pegasus colt for my 'Elf Shelf,' a Moxie Teenz pink dress set for my Leigh doll and some trims for doll outfits from JoAnn's.
I also found this neat thing...it's a printed piece of fabric that you sew together to make a Barbie-sized dress.

I think it's just the thing for one of my Freya dolls. I'll have cut it down a bit, but I think I can 'make it work' (shades of Tim Gunn!).
Also got a great book called "The Dolls' Dressmaker" which has some of the 'Sasha' sized patterns that I understand will fit on MSD size.
One other doll related find: a Titan Magazine's 'Once Upon A Time' booklet/magazine that has some great photos of the gorgeous costumes from the show. One in particular is of Belle's little blue dress that I want to recreate for my American Model doll.

I went Target to see all their sweet Justice League stuff. Just like kenaiqueen I got myself an Oz doll, some JL stuff (luggage tag, pins, wallet) and the last Bat-Mobile swim toy. ☺

I finally bought myself a new Tarot deck. I received my first one as a goodbye present from a friend in Florida when I moved to Mass, and after learning the basics, I felt confident enough to pick out one of my own. Also bought some fabric to make myself a new gypsy skirt.
