So, always wanted a couch for my boys, been telling myself to get on with the project but Mr Procrastination and I are best buds so, of course, it never got anywhere.
This time around though I kicked my ass out of my chair and got stuff done for once! Might also be because I got a photo-shoot in mind and need a couch, apparently that was a great enough motivational factor for me to get this far with the project.
So, a few pictures of the progress:
A regular doll-box where I’ve taken the bottom piece of it, turned up-side-down, attached some Styrofoam, a pair of skittles tubes and viola! The seating and arm rests all in place.
Didn’t get to take an in between picture of attaching the back, but that’s just more styrofoam and lots of tape. The seating here is shock-absorbing mats that I got from work and works wonderfully for the purpose. I’ve attached them with a glue-gun.
Finished 'nude' look, now for the actual cover:
Have no in-progress pictures of how the cover got all sown together, nor the pillows, but here it is in all its glory. Amazing what a thing as simple as a cover does to have it look all comfy and a couch you'd actually love to have yourself. I swear I envy my crew so much sometimes xD
