Stargate Universe trading cards - 2 of them... Not because I collect trading cards but because they're "Costume Cards"; and have tiny cuttings from the Nicholas Rush cosume on them; which will finally let me know what the hell colour it is! In some lights it looks really grey/taupey - but the colour in these scenes looks suspiciously washed out, and in the dark on-ship scenes it looks almost brown...

Took my Dad thrift shopping on the way home from his doctor's appt. He wanted a rug and Goodwill had some so we went there. He came home with $100 rug for $14 but I was the one who made a major haul. (Had to change this figure as I just now counted them.) I got 22 big spools of good cone thread, six different colors, and a plastic spool cone box for like $4, a whole big bag of crochet thread for $2, a whole pile of little kid's clothes all in small prints and stripes (Yay, I will be finally making dolly t-shirts and leggings!!!!) for $5 and a brass key doll for $3 who promptly donated her outfit, her shoes, her wig, and most importantly a pair of very pretty size 15 blue eyes to my doll closet. He even bought it all for me so I didn't even kill the wallet besides, grin. I checked the thread brand. It's $4.50 each locally at JoAnn's per spool so that's times 22 plus it's in the $20 Art bin storage box. $120 worth of cone thread and box, for what $4? Plus I got like a dozen skeins of crochet thread. That had to be another $60 at least, so not bad, huh?

1st of the Nicholas Rush costume cards arrived today. His T-shirt is a surprisingly cold muddy grey colour. I would not have suspected that! So it's quite close to the colour it appears in the bleached out overexposed looking scenes in the pilot, much closer to grey than the tans/browns the ship scenes would suggest.

It also contains a surprisingly large section of the t-shirt I'd say 2cm worth of visible material. I may have to go shopping for tshirts now. It's made my hunt at once easier and more difficult - Easier because I now know precisely what colour to go hunting for, Difficult because it's so tempting to try to match the weave and feel of the material too now...

Most of my doll plans get put on hold now until next year. But I was able to score a new full-set doll that's been sold out for a while as one last present before I dive into full wedding planning mode.

I finally got a 3ds xl. Now I don't have to borrow roomies regular 3ds. Shin Megami Tensei 4 for the 3ds also. Now I is ready for when Pokemon X/Y comes out in October.

In dollie stuff, I got the last of my DDS parts so now my Dollfie has a body, but sadly is broke so now clothes as of yet. ;-;

DH's are definitely priceless. Talk to the hospital...they might be open to some negotiation on their fees.

Ehhh, I was bad. Very last day to order tanned skin at Fairyland, so I sneaked in a last-second order for a Littlefee Dark Elf Soo from DenverDoll. I figure put a deposit down now, and I'll have at least another two months before I have to pay the balance before she's shipped to me. That'll give me time to get my remaining vacation out of the way and save up some extra cash. But now I HAVE to behave dolly-wise if I wish to attend the Dollism convention being held in upstate NY next September!
