Thanks. I haven't worked with eye putty before, but there's a first time for everything. Have to get the eyelashes first anyway. I'll just google for some tutorials. I washed the wig and the curls don't come out so it means a boil in the near future. I have 5 days off in a row next week. I think the clothes are a bit too much for her little body. I may cut mine down a bit.

Love the idea of a tiny dolly daycare LOL!

Hope you feel better soon!

Okay, boiled the hair straight and I still hate it. I think it's partly that I don't like the fit and partly that I don't like the blonde. I've looked at some wigs on ebilbay and they are pricy, so I'm going to see if my local little fabric store has some fur trim that I can make into a wig tomorrow.

I still haven't done anything with her or any of the other dolls I have. *sigh* good luck finding a cute wig or making one. I haven't attempted that yet.

After canvassing all the local craft/fabric stores, no fur trim to be found and I didn't feel like driving over to JoAnn's (one city over) to look over their stock of fake fur fabric. I finally bought one on ebay that wasn't too dear and is the style I think will work altho it's a bit lighter than I wanted. No medium browns to be had at all in her size. The one I got is an updo in what they are calling strawberry blonde. Didn't look too red to me, but maybe in-hand it will. I have her eyelashes to put in today so I can put her eyes in next.

I put in her eyes and tried the dress back on and decided it was too big for her. It was also really difficult to take on and off.
Here she is with eyelashes and original fit dress, sans wig:

She's just swimming in that dress, poor thing!

Her wig came today and I finished altering her dress. Mostly, I just shortened it and took out some of the fullness of the skirt. I also turned the hem on the sleeve/ruffle to make it shorter and neater. (The dress is also not joined in the back so it slips on easier.) Then I moved the lace on the skirt down and added some lace to her panties to make them pantaloons. The wig was a little tight, so I had to cut it, but I don't love it completely yet, so I didn't feel badly about clipping it to fit on her head.

I will probably leave the coat as is, but I may cut down the hat a bit. I'm calling her Ayla.

A daycare centre :D, now there's a plan! I think your doll is gorgeous! And that little teddy... I think I'm going to overdose on 'cute' before this night is over :)
Many say that adults shouldn't play with dolls... then let me be a child at heart forever more!

Finally got a new wig for Alya that I like. This is a Monique Gold Collection, Coco style in Carrot Red. It came with a pink ribbon bow that I replaced with a thinner tan colored bow.

I had to trim the bangs up a bit, but the fit is good. I'm going to mess with the other wig I got for her and maybe make a shorter style for her too.
