Went to Monster Con in New Jersey last weekend. Came home with two steampunk hats, a necklace, a ring, another fairy figurine for the collection ... and a sinus infection courtesy of my traveling companions. XP

That hats are awesome, though. Now I just gotta come up with a suitable costume to wear WITH them. I somehow doubt fantasy faire dresses work well with steampunk. lol

Tonner Direct had a 20% off + Free shipping offer this weekend so I've ordered Pretty Party Patsy, a 10 child doll dressed in a frilly purple dress. I would have gone for just a basic, but wanted one with brown hair and the basics were every hair color but brown LOL! I'm guessing she'll get sent out on Monday, so it may be after the holiday before she arrives.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

Aaaaaaaaaaand add to that another dozen rolls of film, 200 archival sleeves for negatives AND another gallon of Kodak's D76 developer.

I may end up sacrificing a roll of film to a 60 year old tin of developer that I have downstairs. *shrugs* 1:3 soup to 1 roll of film for approx. 10 minutes, maybe 12. Now if I can just find that old tin. My husband likes to moves things and not tell me where he put them.

Yesterday, I saw an Aurora doll I didn't have---and she was gorgeous!! An exclusive limited edition 16" Porcelain doll from Disney Theme Parks for Sleeping Beauty's 40th anniversary.

I really, really wanted this doll.....but she was asking $300 plus $20 shipping!!!!!! 0_o

I pondered for a bit, and then, made a 'best offer' of $200 plus $20 shipping. It is STILL a LOT of money for one doll but it was $100 less than the seller originally wanted, so I figured she wouldn't accept and if she did, $220 wasn't too bad a price for an exclusive doll that I really loved the look of. But I wasn't counting on it, because $200 is quite a bit different than $300 and I REALLY didn't expect the seller to accept my offer.

To my utter surprise, I just found out they did!!!! So I got the doll for $220!!

Here she is:

I can't wait to get her!!!!! But since she's so expensive, she'll be my big birthday gift. I'll tell my sister to hide her away until November and not to buy me anything else. ^^

Soooooo excited!!!!

Just won my Grail Doll off of ebay. All Zirconmermaid's fault. I can't afford this right now, after my husband's surgery and such. But...damn, it was such a good deal and IT'S MY GRAIL DOLL. So I did it, thank you Buy It Now.

She's the St. Mina Customhouse doll - the one from the Dollmaster movie.

*so excited*

Shinku_Rhapsody - thanks!! Seriously this is the 1st time I've ever managed to get tickets to something that's limited like this :D

absynthe1972 - Eeeh!! Congrats! You got an Instax?? How big are the photos produced - is it the small credit card sized pictures? (Yeah I may have been pondering one of these myself; but I've decided to hold off until the Mini 90 Neo Classic gets to the UK)
