Mine got here today and I'm completely in love. Not a huge fan of anthro dolls in general but this little sweetie is just so cute! Mine is curently in the dye pot. George is going to be a black cat just in time for fall.

She's so cute! I love her little dress! The dye thing did not go...well. In fact you could call it a complete failure. Probably should have sanded him first or something. He's now a pale mottled purple and still completely white in places. But I can totally work with that so all is not lost.

Just ordered mine with light violet eyes. I'll probably search out a wig in the future to match his/her mommies.

Did you wash him first? You may have run into mold release too. I would sand him and re-dye him. Or make a mottled purple and white kitty! Could be cute!

...yeah. I completely failed to wash him. Which I totally know to do but completely slipped my mind. I'll try take two tonight and if that doesn't work he could probably rock the mottled purple thing. Thanks!

From spying on the miniature car forums a lot of the guys over there use a weak acetone solution with the dye to get it to take evenly with ABS apparently (not sure what this would do to the plastic in the long run) but the results look pretty good

So washing and sanding didn't really do anything. And I've done everything exactly how Emory said he did his Freyr which turned out awesome so in theory this should have worked. Now I'm thinking this may have been a heat issue because I had it at a very low simmer for the first two attempts? I don't know. And I'm super afraid to try the acetone solution especially since some of the parts are so thin I'm already worried about them breaking from normal wear and tear. I'm doing take three right now on a gentle-ish boil and just hoping he doesn't melt. If it doesn't work this time, and assuming I haven't actually ruined the structure/shape of the little guy, I'm going to do indian ink dips and a crap ton of MSC and hope for the best.

Sorry to spam with project updates. Next post will have pictures of actual doll.

I like reading about your dying progress (or lack there-of as it sounds currently). Good luck!
