Congrats! Seven months is a hell of a wait!

Eeh! My Freddy-2 is due in on Thursday!! Excitement! Dolls are like buses they all come at once... He'll be my 1st MSD too - so that'll be interesting to see if it works scale-wise.

He'll be my 1st bjd with a company face-up - hopefully it looks like the photos, cos the images on the dollzone site were spectacular.

(Having said that 2 of my floating heads have other peoples' face-ups - and I've not wiped them yet due to fear that my face-ups will suck in comparison, despite the fact that neither has a face-up that matches the character... Well that and the bad weather meaning they'd be blank for weeks to months)

Looks like another one is off my "most wanted" list. I just managed to find a 1/6 modern German Gerbis... uh, Geber... uh.... Oh, hell, a mountain trooper that was made by Armoury about a decade ago. Not really what most people here are in to but they are dolls (don't tell 'em that) so they fit within the board's parameters.

I decided to try and track down some Armoury and BBI figures that I didn't buy "back in the day". Most have been easy to find but locating either of the Germans (keep in mind, these are modern Bundeswehr soldiers not WW2 troops) has been pretty vexing. There's also a paratrooper and if I find him that's great but I'm OK with just the one guy for now.

After almost two weeks, my Unoa faceplate came in today! It was supposed to be yesterday, but never went out for delivery. First time a package took two days to get 30-40 miles to my local PO, lol! O_o; Ah well~ I think it's mildly funny that the package has been delivered, is in my hands, but the update on the tracking number reads that it arrived back at the local PO at 7pm this evening and is available for pickup! Was actually delivered at around 2:30pm, lol!

I'll pretend it makes sense, haha!

So, made my second and last payment for a hybrid tiny I've had on layaway. YAY! So he'll be on his way home, sooon~ And then, because I couldn't help myself and I had planned on getting it when I got paid next, I went ahead and placed my order for a MIO Taeyang kit, whee~ I eventually want the others, but I'm happy just to have a Pullip and Taeyang for now. The others can wait until after Christmas, haha!

That should be it on dolly purchases for awhile except for a few things, such as an Obitsu head purchase(s) from JunkySpot and a Hot Toys 1/6 I will be getting soon to custom for my brother for Christmas. The only other mega doll purchase I'm considering before the end of the year is a Mirodoll 1/3 female body... if I can just con myself into clicking "buy"! >_<; If I do, it'll be two weeks from now!

Now, to sit back and start customizing! And hoping for good, clear weather on my days off to finally finish faceups! >_<;;

Woo! Freddy-2 just came in, after all the comments about how big his head was I was almost expecting something SD sized, but it's tiny! He's tiny! He's so easy to carry! MSDs are so cart-around-able, I can really see why they're popular. (Seriously if there was as much sculpt range in MSDs as SDs enjoy I'd contemplate reshelling my group to smaller dolls)

His face-up is lovely - but obviously not quite as detailed as the images on the company site - it's missing the skin-detailing that made me risk buying a face-up at all. It's really quite beautiful and and a tad sinister, but thankfully I wont have to be too precious about his face - since I'd also be perfectly happy to wipe it and try something else out in future. Though I'm very aware I'd never be able to do his eyelashes again myself (I really don't get on with false eyelashes on anything)

And he came with a pair of lovely sickly-yellow glass eyes (Which were the kind of colour I was hoping for - I'd have either bought a yellow or a red pair for him myself)

Finally finished my debate. Ordered Doll Chateau Sexta. ^_^ The uniforms event was definitely an influence in that decision. XD *Dances*

Vetninari, 1/4ths are love~ ^_^ Kah'z used to be brought everywhere, literally everywhere! haha! Now he's as yellow as a doll can be, poor thing, and I still need to find a second Megi head to match his color. >_<;; But we decided a long time ago that even if he yellowed, we were going to enjoy this doll to the utmost. We're fearless! Everyone else, though, has stayed well away from constant sunlight, heh!

Quinta, can't wait to see your Sexta when it comes in!!

And, my tiny shipped today, yay! Should be here Monday or Tuesday. Can't wait! And, if things go right, my Taeyang should be here tomorrow... otherwise it'll be Monday as well. yarrr~!

So I decided to re-shell my character Xiu into the male body I always wanted for him, and somehow that decision led me to having two dolls coming in soon.

Through a mishap, Xiu ended up being a girl. Rage_gurl and I had planned to trade bodies with our DZ minis, so her Hid would be a girl, and my Annie would be a boy. She was positive she had ordered her boy in yellow resin, but it turned out she had been sent a pink resin, and didn't know because she had nothing to compare it to. So when we tried to swap bodies, the match was horrible, and Xiu was stuck as a girl.

I picked out the head and body I wanted, and lo and behold, the body came up in the marketplace on the Den. I sold the Annie head, and used that, and some of the money I made from selling handmade jewelry (shameless self-plug, if you're interested, message me). and doing face-ups, to put the body on layaway. I have enough to pay it off, and as soon as I get the total from the girl I'm buying him from, I will have that. It is the DZ 65cm boy body that came with the Brant and Cosmo sculpts, originally. I'm going to put the 70cm boy Leslie head on him, because the Leslie head looks entirely too small for the 70cm body, so I figure it will be perfect on the 65. Then my mom told me she's sending me money for Christmas because she has no idea what to get for me.... so I can get the head I want~!

I couldn't seem to find a home for the body, so I started looking to trade. I found someone with a light tan Fei up for trade, and they were willing, so that was shipped out today! OMG SO EXCITED!! I'm going to open her eyes just a little bit to make her look sly, and I'm going to give her a white and gold face-up, and I'm thinking I'm going to mod her arms and legs to be double-jointed. It will be good practice to learn how jointing works before I start sculpting a body. I need to make her a black mohair wig and dunk it in some red dye to give it a warm undertone.

Just received an e-mail from Dollmore saying my Apricot Sherbet Reaa has been finally shipped, with her tracking number!
I had to select the most expensive shipping due to Korea shipping to Italy only with EMS Premium... I hope she will be here soon, without issues from the Italian custom...
