The last month, my family went back to our home country for a holiday. I have a partner who is staying there and we have been together way before I left. We've been apart for almost 3 years.

The holiday was like a dream, which should be in the Rejoice thread -_- but there's always a but..

I miss my partner.. It was harder to leave the country this time compared to the first time.. There was a week where his mom let me stay at their house to save on expenses. This gave us the experience of living together that we want to start soon.

But, of course my parents aren't exactly the ones supporting our relationship. But they're not forcing us apart either. But still, it's hard enough being apart they make it even harder by being negative and everything.

I've got no one to rant to here. No one in my family will understand and I've got no friends either. I just needed to get it out. Hopefully from here things start to look up, not just for me as well.

Rant end

I'm in a LDR the my parents don't full support as well. Fortunately for us, we attend different colleges in the same state, but I still understand how hard it can be. It seems like the visits are never long enough, and even though you promise yourself that you won't cry this time, the tears always come when it is time to say goodbye. It sucks majorly, especially when a certain boyfriend lacks proper communication skills! (Sorry, mini-rant right there). And then when there is problems, your go to support network simply says "You should just break up". Just hang in there. If you are truly meant to be together, it will work out.

Here is a website about things to do when in a LDR. It is cute and helpful: http://www.lovingfromadistance.com/index.html

And you always have us to rant to.

Thanks guys, I didn't think anyone would take notice on my post lol :) And yes @Siead it is very much worth it at the end :D

@SymphonicEnkelli Thanks for the link as well, I haven't been through it yet but just the few phrases I read intrigued me :D

Funny when all of my friends and relatives were saying goodbye I was able to wear a mask that didn't even make me sad at all, but when my partner was about to leave.. yeah. He didn't want to stay to see us get in the van or come to the airport. Which was a good idea, we had a better farewell than we would have at the airport.

The " You should just break up" thing is just so annoying. We have a motto that whatever is going on we'd never go through it with a break up and just come back again. We both agree that we don't like the idea of even having a title as "broken up" :|

And again, thanks guys. Very small gesture with such a huge impact..

This is not that big of a suck but it sucks just more than it worked out-
Let's make a birthday cake for Kim shaped like a book, good flavor will get eaten, let's do a scene from the book she published last year with frosting and molded candy melts, nice idea, let's make it a graveyard scene which proves we didn't really read any of the stories although we have the files on our computer.

There is no skeleton coming out of a graveyard, two of them pass by a graveyard for a moment and it has nothing to do with the plot. We have candy coffin, skeleton, and tombstone molds because I buy them for Xavier. If you're going to do a nice and complicated idea for someone please research and make sure your idea will work. At least they didn't use peanuts which I'm allergic to.

Grrrrrr!

Was totally pumped because I was treating myself to a fancy jacket that normally I couldn't afford but YAY! it was one sale. I went through the ordering process and my total was supposed to be $38. So, I go ahead and complete the order, though I have to do it through paypal since the website refused to allow me to simply put in a credit card number :P. I hit submit and the website goes "Thanks for the order! Your total price was $47!" WAT o.O Oh, but it gets worse. I go to check my credit card, and I was actually charged $51. I freak out and go back to check my order to see if I read it incorrectly (it's a European company, so maybe it was 38 euros). Nope. It stills says it should be $38.

Needless to say, a curt email was sent. I'm NOT amused.

I'm glad you like it :) Visiting that site always gives me hope when things get rough. I'm glad that it is helping you as well.

But sadness about the gifts :( I hope things calm down so you go ahead and open it!

Aww, I'm sorry Kim...is there any possible way the person(s?) was just trying to "spice it up" how people often do with birthday cakes, or is it really a case of "Yeah, we totally didn't read this but we're pretending we did" type deal? If it's the latter, I'm really sorry. I know how that feels. I would rather someone be honest and say "Yeah, your stuff isn't really my speed" than lie and try to pull off a middle school "I skimmed it last night so I'll pass the test today" readthrough.

It's the general not caring much about my interests because they aren't interested and I'll leave it at that. The only mention of a graveyard is Xavier and Alistair passing by one. I'm lucky they got the title right.
