Crystal Snow

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

Crystal Snow

I finally finished the outfit that goes with the icicle wig I made for Elena (which I posted a while back in another section on the forum). It was inspired by the Russian fairy tales about Snegurochka, the Snow Maiden, but this is kind of my fantasy version. I wanted it to look like she herself is made of snow and ice. I made everything - dress, panties, wig, shoes, and gloves - from glass beads. It is my own design. I'm really happy with the way it turned out ^-^ I'll post a few pictures here, but there are several more on my blog and my Flickr if anyone is interested…

That is gorgeous! Wow! Your beadwork skills are amazing. The fit of the dress is amazing, especially given that it is not cloth.

Thank you all so much for your comments, you guys are so sweet! You've really made my day :D

Zirconmermaid, thank you so much! I'm glad I found you guys too - my girls are not allowed on most boards, unfortunately, and I love looking at all kinds of dolls, so it's really fun for me here! I just wish I had more time to post, I read through a lot of topics and look at all the pictures, but can't say as much as I'd like *sigh*

Eseme, thank you! Actually, this was my first beading project (aside from bead embroidery), and I've found it's a lot easier than it looks! I was worried about the dress not fitting well when I started, but it's kind of like a puzzle - if you put the right snowflake in the right place, it lays very nicely ^-^ I also chose to use organic cotton sewing thread instead of nylon beading thread, because I thought it would drape better and be more pliable. I'm really happy with it, so I will be using it for my other projects too...
