Sock Clothes!

I wanted to make a thread everyone can post their recycled sock doll clothes in. I know there're more than just mine, because socks are convenient things to make stuff out of when your doll's fancy clothes haven't arrived yet, for example.

Here is what I made today and yesterday, Monster High sock turtleneck dress and hat, and a YoSD sized sweater hoodie thing. Handsewn, because I didn't have my machine with me.

i haven't made any sock clothes yet, but these ones look really good. do you think someone who doesn't know much about sewing could make clothes like these? i'm okay at hand sewing, but machines fear me ... ^^;

SquishyPies, You can handsew sock clothes. You just have to remember, that hand stitches do not stretch the way sock do. ^^ But stil, it's doable.

I have made this hoodie from old socks (with serger).

I made three sweater from socks, and hand-sewn all of them! It's not difficult, just a bit tricky. That's my favourite one.



It is closed in the back with snaps (because I don't want to take off my dolls heads to dress them)
