Ever take scissors to satin and brocade and cut it to shreds? I was doing it all by hand because someone else broke our sewing machine. Every time he tried something on a seam popped. Like all things this will fart or pass or what ever but it's a downer because I wanted to make him something super spectacular.
F**k you brocade and f**k you satin.
From now on he only wears cotton. I'm looking for pink sheet music or piano keys. He looks good in pink.
Ugh. That sounds really frustrating; I hate when a project just refuses to work out. Did you use fray check on the brocade before sewing? I find it helps tons; my projects don't fall apart mid assembly when I use it.
I used everything possible, and he's like a slender MSD so he's not that tiny. We did some retail therapy, bought some Christmas fabric, and tomorrow we'll see what other novelty prints I have that suit him. And I won't have the nagging feeling there's one spectacular outfit that out shines the others.
He was out in the beads and pink shirt and people recognized him so things are for the better this way I suppose.
