The first doll I remember wanting, and asking for extra pocket to save up for, was a Pippa Princess. I loved her ultra long hair (which is weird, because just about all my dolls as a child got hideous hair cuts. Hideous in retrospect. At the time I thought they were about OK. And it meant the hair didn't get knotted up in elastic bands). I eventually got her as a present (after someone from school pinched one of my other ones). And yes, her hair did get cut
As an adult I had a vague desire to buy a doll that I could take photos of, who was more poseable than Barbie and who could stand by themselves, but had no idea where to look. When I finally heard about BJDs that became wanting a BJD or an Obitsu, and eventually became wanting a Resinsoul Mei. (I no longer have her, I didn't like Resinsoul's white in person)
