New fall dress w/ updated #2 dress

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

New fall dress w/ updated #2 dress

I've been wanting to make fall outfits for my Ellowynes so I started with this one. The pattern is 'Seasons' by Gracefaerie and this is the 'Falling Leaves' version. My Lizette, who I call Billie, is the model.

It's made up in quilting cottons with muslin lining. I try to make the first pattern as exact as I can and then if I make more, I make any changes that I think I will like better. Since I have 4 Wilde Imagination girls, I have 3 more to make, but I will be making each one different. I embellished with chain stitching in embroidery floss here and there.

Very nice. I love the choice of fabrics.

That's great! I've been toying with the idea of a Wilde doll and everytime I see something like this it gets a little more urgent.

Thanks everyone! Here's dress #2 on Rose, my Feeling Drained El:

This time I used the bodice of the winter style, Lighting Candles, and left off collar and sleeve bands. Then I made a simple ungathered muslin skirt and sewed on strips of gathered fabric that were pinked on one edge to give them a shabby chic kinda vibe. Finally, I added a band of lace and ribbon to the dropped waist. It's a lot like my other favorite Gracefaerie pattern, Lilac Afternoon, but a bit different. Those are all quilting cottons and I just love the colors! Now my girls need better fall boots.
