Tonner Tyler (Blush and Bashful)

Postby Samseramsamsam » Fri Nov 14, 2014 3:06 am

Sooo I finally made the jump to 1/4 scale with a Tonner Tyler :) I got her off ebay for an "okay" price (for Germany, that is). Please disregard the dress; I really do not know where I went wrong with the pattern, it does not really fit snugly, but at least she is not naked until I get other stuff knitted for her ^^"

If anyone can "identify" her, please let me know! She is from 2003, haircolour "mink", her eyes are green, her lipstick rather pale pink, she is wearing a sewed-on pink headband and red nailpolish on hands and feet. Her wirsts bend, her feet not (directly on legs). She has joints in her waist, bust, shoulders, ellbows, wrists, hips, knees, and, of course, neck.
I think it might be the Cinderella face, but I really do not know much about Tonner dolls...

The good news is that the dress would probably fit a MNF body, though! :D ;)

I'm not all that familiar with Tylers either, unfortunately. I have a Cami, and the poor girl hasn't been out of the same dress in months..... bad me. Tonner 16" fashion dolls all have fairly similar measurements regardless of the body style (even Ellowyne) except for the feet. I found that out the hard way when I bought a pair of fantastic boots from a Chinese Ebayer without knowing Tyler's feet are smaller than Cami's (Antoinette) feet.....

I'm more familiar with Ellowynes, but you can go to the Tonner website and search through their archives site and look at old catalogs and pictures of retired dolls. Or put a post on one of the Tonner dolls Facebook pages asking for help identifying her.

The mystery is solven! ;) I got sidetracked by the stamp (c)2003 in her back; but she is, infact, from 2006, a "Blush and Bashful" Tyler :)

Edit: aaaand we got new clothes ;)

Thank you! :3 You are so sweet. It really is not hard to knit for these, at least not the patterns I choose ;) Actually, dolliehs got me into knitting again. My first dollieh sweater, for Monster High, was... well, a sight to behold
However, with constant practice and tips from other knitter, today I can even devise simple patterns by myself! :)

If you really despair at the knitting and desperately love the simple designs I post, ping me after Christmas or next year and I'll see how much postage to your country would be ;) (However, curently swamped with things I still have to finish until Christmas ^^")

And even though the Christmas pile of sock shame is still there, the sock yarn was beckoning to my Tonner girl...
