My doll travel kit consists of whatever the dolls are traveling in (they have a different cases for the car or when they are flying), one or two Obitsu plate/stands, and a hair brush. If something breaks I'll wait till I get home to fix it rather than rush through some on the spot repair procedure. There are occasionally props or second outfits that go with them, but I wouldn't include those as part of the "kit".

totally dig K2. i have a makeup bag (about 5x7x3") that fits everything i need for meets asides from their clothing. i do like having stuff on hand for emerg fixes, but i think part of that is because i tend to lose little things easy. if someone lost a pinky and i don't glue it right back on, odds are it won't make the trainride home with me >.<

mostly thought of this because i remember the first time i went to a meet, people kept asking if each other had x, y, or z. so i thought it would be neat to have most of it on hand. plus i thought this could just be a fun thread :)

anywho, added stuff to the main post, moved a few things around. and as a sidenote: i cram spare elastic into old film containers, then wrap ribbon around the outside, when i store them in my junk drawer. so i just popped a couple in my kitbag. heh.

I generally at minimum on trips bring a cleaning sponge, spare eye putty, restringing supplies, and toothbrushes/wig brushes.

My restringing supplies are a head hook, forceps, shoe laces, a piece of wire (the fluffy tube cleaner ones), a long stick with a loop, several pieces of wire, spare head shooks, and numerous pieces of extra elastic. I usually when I restring someone's doll and replace the elastic, I'll keep it and give them the new one. Occasionally it'll work better in another doll and in emergencies, it's better then nothing.

As low temp glue guns are pretty small and have had more then a few times I have wished to have had one, I'd bring this on a crafting meet. I've not used a lighter, but I can't imagine it being easier then using a low temp hot glue gun.

Pretty good list. :)

it's actually not too hard. i just hold the stick in the flame a few seconds till it starts looking clear-ish. granted, burn risks if you drop the lighter. still got a hella scar from that one. >.< though i guess not any worse than it would be dropping a gluegun lol.
