Impulse buy...Triad EVALUTION

Postby Mary Kathryn » Fri Nov 12, 2010 5:38 pm

I wandered over to the site looking around and stumbled up onto her. Instant love.
So, she's on her way. Anything I need to know about Triad dolls before she gets here? Is she going to come in and whip all my 1/6 dolls into military shape? :D

Eva has a long story behind her...one of my co-moderators at SWC or whatever the heck we're calling it now ^_^ was the designer of the Eva and Evo figures. He accepts criticism for the change in the knee joints from the original design, but the changes in the torso section and in the plastic of the figure were not done with his or Triad's blessing. Kind of rough to see something you've spent *years* designing and then anticipating finally come to light, as definitely not what it should have been.

Still, don't give up on her before you get her. She is an attractive figure, with great customization potential. Just know that you will have to make a few tweaks.

Thanks! Heh. I never give up. I just keep plugging away at it until I love 'em. I've never had a Triad figure so I don't come with any prior expectations.

The only type of doll I've found not to be for me are the resin tinies. I love to look at other people's but I was never really able to enjoy my own. So she's in a better home now. :p

I am totally sticking a fuzzy wig on her. the moment she shows up.

I look forward to seeing your transformation. What a shame about the original designer not getting what he worked so long and hard for.
