My anime con was this weekend and my tax refund came through on Saturday and one of my friends in Artist Alley had boxes of doll stuff from another friend and wigs! Bast has looooong black hair (from Monique Gold) now and Bernadette has a new 'do (also Monique), but I'm not completely sure how I feel about hers yet. She might need a bitty hair clip. I tried to get Ariel new hair but the silver wig I picked up was too big for him. It's on Peaseblossom for now because it fits her even though it washes her out, she'll just have to deal because the little brat threw her wig and headcap off in the parking garage and then threw her wig again in the middle of the dealers room and I almost lost it. I'm not too put out about it...she and Ariel still need new wigs but this silver one will be lovely for the doll I have planned but have yet to purchase. Ariel also has a GORGEOUS new kimono and a little top hat.

PLUS one of the artists had BITTY BABY DRAGONS and I bought one, it's just the right size to sit in the lap of an MSD like a cat, and HORNS which I wasn't quite sure of but then I put them on Ariel with his new kimono and oh my god you guys. I'm painting them tomorrow. At least I know the paint job will hold up well...I brought Loki with me on Friday and his ears hit the concrete floor MULTIPLE times and didn't scratch up. ...I did not bring him to the rest of the convention.

...There's also a Power Ranger, pins, keychains and a Pokemon. I wasn't going to get a Pokemon. I wasn't going to get anything else at that point. But when you encounter a Mew...

This is from Target, the Our Generation line! There are 92 pieces, the counter has a light simulating a neon tube running around it, and the Jukebox selector plays six songs. The sugar, salt and pepper have actual pieces inside so they look right, and the phone handset can be removed. There are so many amazing doll size food and accessories! The dolls are Sweet Dolls Aidan and Aixa (by our own Kiki-chan78 and my AoD boy.

Found a DVD of part three of Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales! The Bake Neko story, the one the series Mononoke was spun off from. I'd watched Mononoke on Crunchyroll and wanted to watch the original Ayakashi story, wasn't expecting to stumble across it at the Exchange just like a week later. I'd watched the series in the first place cause I'd seen a doll someone made of the Medicine Seller! Kind of want to make one myself now but right now the Legend of Zelda project is big enough.

Bought two 1/4 scale Mystic Kids dolls - one is a Tremmel and the other is a Qifeng. I also bought them some wigs, eyes and socks (human-sized, to make clothes from!)

In addition to doll-related stuff, I also got a Squishable Mini Sphinx (been waiting for that one to come out for almost a year) and the first 3-in-1 Omnibus Edition of Dance in the Vampire Bund (I figured it might help me to bond with my Tremmel since he's a vampire!)

Ok, so I hiked to the feed store with my pull cart because I needed to haul a 40-lb bag of dirt uphill to fill up a tomato bin. While procrastinating a bit and browsing the shelves before starting this, I found these bags labeled "Painter's Choice Bag O' Rags". Now, I'd heard paint rags were a good way to get scrap t-shirt cotton, but figured it'd all be white. Wrong. And they were only $2 per bag, with each bag having a full 1lb of fabric scraps. I ended up ransacking their inventory and bringing home about half of it (4 bags).

I do have a lot of blacks and greys, but I also ended up with some of practically every color in the rainbow. And all the scraps are at least big enough to make a 1/6 dolly shirt (or more). Oddly, white was the one color I didn't get. Oddly enough, white was the only color I think I didn't get some of. Most is t-shirt fabric or similar, an occasional piece has an odd texture like old thermal undies, and I got one scrap of dark blue terrycloth in the pile.

Now I just need to find a good way to organize the new stash additions.

Totally jazzed to find this at the 99 Cent Store until I got to thinking what else to they have sitting around since 2000? All the fun of having glow in the dark stickers but no idea what to stick them on :/

Every now and then I find mini LaLaLoopsies for super cheap. This week I found a double pack at Grocery Outlet and I couldn't pass it up.


She's just too cute! Aisling loves her.


I was pleased that she balanced so well on the trike.

They had a couple of the baby fairies as well, I might grab them and see how I feel about them.
