Gonna keep trying to make BSB

Postby DollyKim » Sat Jun 13, 2015 11:42 am

It's getting to a point where it's gonna be May or them. After some false starts with polymer clay it's back to air dry. Just trying to get what I consider good looking sculpts at the best of my ability.

Making a solid base definitely helps, I'd love to figure a way to churn them out easier. It'll be a combination of wet and dry work to get them where I want them.

Build up wet, carve and refine when dry. Keeping the first batch of heads near by so I can keep the proportions in check. I know noses are crooked etc, going to fix that.

Every day a little bit closer to finishing. I have a better camera, just waiting for the cord to get here. As usual, they'll lok better when AJ gets his nails done.

Time to spend a few days resting and drying out, some parts were a bit squishy. A bit of carving to do here and there. I'm pretty sure I'm going to stop here and make push molds of the faces, the ears are nubby because it depends on the hair cut if you can or can't see them. Plans are still to make polymer heads with different haircuts and expressions.

To update, decided only to go with new Brian and the previous batch of guys for the mod making. Just going to do some touch ups with modeling paste and sealant then when they're dry I'll try the silicone mold putty. Other heads are off to the play with later pile.

Just before some sanding here and filling there and building up of Brian's hair. Pretty happy with how things are looking.

Just some touch ups here and there needed, the kind of things you can't see until you're done lol, then Kevin, Howie, Aj, and Nick will be ready to seal. Brian still needs his hair worked on.
