I bought Rini's head a obitsu 50cm body.

Bought off Ebay... I know, terrible place because you cannot trust some folks, but this one is legit (even has the right codes inside its tiny head).

It is a Doll Leaves Ada. It became a boy, and his name is Gynt, and he is a troll...



His clothes are stolen off other dolls (after all, he IS a troll), wig and faceup by me. I am rather pleased with him. Not often I get lucky enough to find a great doll on ebay.

And then there was my Christmas Present from The Junky Spot. Yes, I got a present, and I was surprised when the gift box arrived in my order.

She doesn't have a face as of yet. Weather has not been kind. As it is, I have been working on Hujoos because I can use a sponge and Liquitex Matte Medium, but the resin dolls still get spraying because the Matte Medium does not take kindly to watercolor pencils (which is to say, if you are not Real Careful, it smears when applying the cover coat).

Hrmm well I found a 1/6 scale parter who still had a nekkid John Carter in stock for $20, which even with shipping wasn't horrific. Even if he ends up looking nothing like Peter Wingfield in hand I've been curious about Triad Toys for a while now, especially given that the company is no more! (And lol he's one of the first 1/6 scale figs I've seen that's *ahem* anatomically correct )

Wait, Triad Toys is gone? I just bought an Alpha body from them last month... tho I guess it could have been old stock. I was kind of disappointed in it anyway... the neck's external diameter is too large to use ANY of the heads I have around on it.

Triad is still an active company (last I checked a month or two ago), they just no longer do direct orders. Triad Toys now exclusively deals through Vantage Collectibles. Things change quickly, though, so I might not have heard if they ceased all operations.
